Advancing STEM through Public-Private Partnerships

Assemblywoman Susan A. Bonilla (D-Concord) will be hosting the Bay Area Regional STEM Education Summit on Thursday, October 23rd at the Chabot Space & Science Center from 9:30am to 12:30pm to launch the 4th Annual Bay Area Science Festival.

Education, industry, and government leaders will convene to strategize policies, partnerships, and investments to strengthen STEM education throughout the Bay Area. Executives from Hewlett-Packard, Wareham Development, Bayer, and other leading companies will participate to explore state policies that can advance STEM education, the creation of effective public-private partnerships, and how recent educational reforms have changed industry’s approach to supporting public education. The summit will include an insightful discussion with education leaders, as well as presentations on the Broadband Infrastructure Improvement Grant and the Career Pathways Trust, two state funded grant programs that will advance STEM education and 21st Century Learning. The Bay Area Regional STEM Summit will conclude with an exposition to spotlight high performing STEM programs from throughout the region. You won’t want to miss this event. We’ll see you there!
