CLSI FAST International Concludes Program with Canadian Consulate
Seven Canadian companies presented at the Closing Showcase of CLSI’s partnership program with Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) San Francisco – Life Sciences on February 12. The program, which began last fall, engaged 45 advisors in virtual and in-person advisory sessions with the companies, and included a pair of two-day “In Market” sessions focused on U.S. finance and markets, the U.S. regulatory pathway and reimbursement landscape.
The Canadian companies were Aifred Health, harnessing artificial intelligence to help physicians make better treatment decisions in mental healthcare; ExVivo Labs, developing a diagnostic system to identify allergy sensitivities quickly, pain-free and without the need for a reaction on the patient’s skin; Mediphage Bioceuticals, unlocking the potential of redosable genetic medicine with DNA ministrings, an elegant gene delivery vector platform; Nanostics, who have developed a novel liquid biopsy test for Prostate Cancer, which is twice as accurate and less invasive than existing tests; ProteinQure, designing new protein therapeutics through molecular dynamics simulations, quantum computing and machine learning; Serenity Bioworks, solving the redosing issue for gene therapies with a “reverse vaccine” approach; and Zilia, developing an innovative, non-invasive technological platform that uses imagery, spectrometry and artificial intelligence to measure in real-time oxygen saturation in the human eye – an important indicator of multiple disease states.
The Canadian partnership falls under CLSI’s FAST International program for non-U.S. based life science companies and researchers. FAST International is intended to help international life science companies and researchers gain commercial footholds in U.S. markets.
